Custom OEM Manufacturing

A reviewable path from your mechanism brief to production

Custom mini actuator manufacturing starts with the interfaces and operating conditions your machine requires. Our engineering-led approach connects motor selection, precision transmission design and manufacturing coordination. The first deliverable is a defined scope: what can be evaluated, which assumptions need testing and what evidence will support a production decision.

Each stage ends with a review gate
  1. GATE 01

    Requirements & feasibility

  2. GATE 02

    Interfaces & design review

  3. GATE 03

    Prototype & verification

  4. GATE 04

    Production transfer

A proposed review workflow. The actual deliverables, test work, timing and responsibilities are agreed for the project.

Select the right starting scope

Choose a configuration review when the mechanism is established. Choose a development program when the transmission, sensing or installation envelope still needs engineering work.

Review itemScope to defineEvidence or agreement
Standard configuration reviewA known motion concept with changes to stroke, end fittings, wiring or feedback.Confirm the affected drawing, electrical compatibility, sample needs and availability in the quote.
Joint mechanical developmentA custom screw, integrated motor, housing or constrained installation envelope.Agree on design ownership, DFM scope, validation responsibilities and revision milestones.
Engineering and tooling chargesNRE, special fixtures, tooling and additional test work.List each item, payment milestone, ownership and any reuse or credit terms explicitly. No blanket refund policy is implied.
Samples and productionPrototype quantity, pilot run and forecast production demand.Separate sample price, batch price, capacity assumptions and delivery milestones in the quotation.

Four review gates with explicit outputs

GATE 01

Requirements & feasibility

Input
Application, load-speed-time profile, space claim, control interface and annual demand estimate.
Proposed output
Reviewed supply boundary, open questions, candidate architecture and feasibility assumptions.
Release decision
Both parties agree which requirements are mandatory and which can change.
GATE 02

Interfaces & design review

Input
Mounting and mating drawings, cable route, selected motor or drive constraints and required documentation.
Proposed output
Proposed configuration, interface drawing, prototype test plan and a scoped development quotation.
Release decision
Drawing revision, prototype acceptance and engineering responsibility are recorded.
GATE 03

Prototype & verification

Input
Approved prototype scope, representative fixture, controller and agreed operating conditions.
Proposed output
Samples and the agreed measurement record; observed gaps become explicit revision decisions.
Release decision
The buyer reviews performance against the stated acceptance criteria.
GATE 04

Production transfer

Input
Accepted revision, order quantities, inspection scope, packaging and change-control requirements.
Proposed output
Controlled production definition, agreed release evidence and order-specific delivery plan.
Release decision
No unresolved change is silently substituted into the released configuration.

Buyer FAQ

Can I start without a finished CAD model?

Yes. A dimensioned sketch, operating profile and clear interface constraints can support an initial scope discussion. A controlled drawing and acceptance plan are needed before a prototype or production commitment is finalized.

What are the MOQ, lead time and NRE policy?

These are quotation-specific. Geometry, sourcing, tooling, test scope and quantities affect the commercial plan. Request separate prototype and production terms, and record any NRE credit or tooling ownership agreement in writing.

Can you review a roller screw and motor together?

Yes, describe the intended load path, motor or drive constraints and available assembly envelope. The review should cover bearings, guidance, feedback, heat rejection and how the axis will be assembled and tested.

How should confidential CAD be shared?

Begin with a non-confidential requirements summary. Agree on confidentiality terms and a suitable file exchange method before sending restricted drawings. The website form accepts text and does not provide file upload.
