Quality & Manufacturing Review

Make quality a defined release package

Mini actuator quality review works best when the buyer and supplier agree on evidence before samples are made. A drawing, a force-speed requirement and a test method should refer to the same configuration. This page sets out a procurement and engineering checklist for that agreement; it does not present unverified factory certificates or test results.

Evidence follows the configuration
  1. GATE 01

    Define critical characteristics

  2. GATE 02

    Verify the prototype

  3. GATE 03

    Agree production controls

  4. GATE 04

    Release & manage changes

A proposed review workflow. The actual deliverables, test work, timing and responsibilities are agreed for the project.

Define the evidence boundary

Ask which evidence is required for this part, this revision and this order, and who will review it before release.

Review itemScope to defineEvidence or agreement
Dimensions and interfacesMounting faces, retracted length, travel, bearing seats and connector pinout.Revision-controlled drawing and inspection results for agreed critical characteristics.
Functional motionForce-speed points, starting current, position behavior and end-of-travel response.Test setup, supply and driver settings, load, temperature, sample identity and result.
Thermal, life and acoustic testsTests required by the application rather than generic promises.Cycle profile, environment, mounting, measurement method, duration and pass/fail criteria agreed before testing.
Materials and compliance documentsBuyer-required material declarations, certificates or other supporting documents.Confirm issuer, scope, part or site applicability, revision and availability. No ISO, CE or RoHS status is asserted on this page.
Traceability and changesLot or unit identifiers, revision marking and controlled component substitutions.Agree the identifier format, records to retain, deviation approval and change notification scope.

Four review gates with explicit outputs

GATE 01

Define critical characteristics

Input
Released drawing, interface tolerances, electrical definition and application risks.
Proposed output
A list of critical dimensions and functional requirements with an agreed measurement method.
Release decision
Acceptance limits and the applicable drawing revision are explicit.
GATE 02

Verify the prototype

Input
Representative samples, mounting fixture, controller, supply and operating profile.
Proposed output
The agreed dimensional and functional record, including deviations and test conditions.
Release decision
No-load motion is distinguished from loaded performance evidence.
GATE 03

Agree production controls

Input
Accepted design, order quantity, inspection scope and traceability requirements.
Proposed output
An order-specific inspection and release plan, with defined identifiers and document deliverables.
Release decision
Sampling versus individual inspection is stated rather than assumed.
GATE 04

Release & manage changes

Input
Inspection results, deviation decisions, packaging and labeling requirements.
Proposed output
Agreed release documentation linked to the supplied configuration and lot or unit identifiers.
Release decision
Changes to critical interfaces or components follow the agreed approval process.

Prepare a buyer acceptance brief

Use the editable text checklist to make the first review concrete. Identify confidential files by name and revision; agree on the exchange method before sharing them.

Buyer FAQ

Are ISO, CE or RoHS documents available?

List the exact document and the part, assembly or manufacturing-site scope you need. Availability and applicability must be verified for the proposed supply. This page does not claim a certification or substitute a logo for a valid document.

Is every actuator tested for every characteristic?

Inspection coverage is defined in the order-specific plan. Distinguish dimensional checks, routine functional checks and longer qualification tests. Agree whether a characteristic is measured on each unit or sampled, and what report is supplied.

What should a force-speed test report include?

The tested configuration and sample identity, drawing revision, supply and drive settings, load and measurement method, mounting, temperature and observed result. State whether the data describes peak operation, sustained motion or a complete cycle.

Can we arrange a supplier review or request factory evidence?

Describe the audit scope, required records and access needs during procurement review. Confirm what evidence can be shared and any confidentiality arrangements before relying on it in a sourcing decision.
